Community theory: the character set used in Biome 69 may reference the Simple Net Art Diagram - a 1997 work by MTAA (T.Whid and M.River) that reduces the entire concept of net art to a single image: two computers connected by a wire, with the annotation "The art happens here" pointing to the network between them.
